An experienced company with a personal approach
Choosing transportation means trusting a team with an important part of your vacation. Clear communication, practical pickup arrangements and local knowledge all matter.
Our fleet includes approximately 12 minibuses and two Toyota Prado SUVs, giving us options for different group sizes and transportation needs. Our team’s experience covers coastal roads, mountain routes, airport arrivals and connections across the country. Learn more about our fleet and services.
Travelers have also shared hundreds of experiences on our Tripadvisor profile. In a July 2026 review, Gary T. wrote: “The reservation team was incredibly responsive.” That personal attention is an important part of the service we aim to deliver, from your first inquiry to your arrival.

Liberia Airport transportation: start your trip with a plan
Liberia Airport, also known as Guanacaste Airport or LIR, is a convenient arrival point for exploring the region. Our Liberia Airport shuttle services include scheduled shared transportation and private transfers to a range of beach destinations.
For planning purposes, our published route estimates include approximately two hours from Liberia Airport to Tamarindo, two and a half hours to Nosara, and three hours to Sámara. Actual travel time depends on road conditions, traffic and pickup or drop-off arrangements.
When requesting your airport transfer, include your flight details and exact accommodation. Allow time for immigration and baggage collection before a shared departure, and follow the meeting instructions in your confirmation. If your arrival time doesn’t fit the shared schedule, a private transfer offers more flexibility.
Connecting Guanacaste’s beach towns
Our transportation network serves destinations including Tamarindo, Playa Grande, Nosara, Playa Guiones, Sámara, Carrillo, Flamingo, Brasilito, Playa Conchal, Playa Potrero, Playas del Coco and the Papagayo area. Explore our shuttle routes to check the services available for your journey.
You can plan an airport arrival, a transfer between beach towns or the next stage of a longer Costa Rica itinerary. Shared and private options vary by route, so checking your exact departure point and destination is the best place to start.
Your hotel’s location matters, too. A property outside town can require different arrangements from one near the center. If you’re staying at Tamarindo Diria, for example, our Tamarindo Diria transportation page provides a useful starting point for planning your transfer.

Transportation for your Costa Rica surf trip
Traveling with surfboards takes a little extra coordination. Tell us how many boards you’re bringing and their dimensions when you request your shuttle, so we can confirm space and the appropriate service.
Our network connects surf destinations such as Tamarindo, Playa Grande and Nosara, with onward transportation to Santa Teresa on the southern Nicoya Peninsula. For example, you can explore our Tamarindo shuttle connections when planning a trip with more than one beach stop.
Check the surfboard terms on your selected route before booking. Our current Liberia Airport–Tamarindo page lists board fees for shared shuttles and includes surfboards at no extra charge on private transfers. Providing equipment details in advance helps us plan your ride properly. View the route and surfboard details.
From Guanacaste to San José, Monteverde and La Fortuna
Your vacation doesn’t have to stay on the coast. Our routes connect Guanacaste with destinations that bring a different side of Costa Rica into your itinerary.
A Tamarindo to Monteverde shuttle connects your beach stay with time in the mountains. Our Tamarindo to La Fortuna transportation helps you continue toward the Arenal area, while Tamarindo to San José services connect the coast with the capital.
Check each route’s schedule before confirming your accommodation. Planning transfer days alongside hotel nights helps you build a trip with enough time to enjoy each destination.
Choose the shuttle that fits your trip
A shared shuttle is a practical choice for travelers who can work with scheduled departures and want to book individual seats. Private transportation offers greater flexibility for families, groups and travelers with specific pickup needs.
Before booking, have your travel date, pickup location, destination, passenger count and luggage details ready. Check the current price and estimated journey time, then let our team help confirm the arrangements.
Whether you’re arriving in Guanacaste for your first visit or returning for another surf trip, Tropical Tours Shuttles brings local experience to the journey. Explore our routes and plan your next ride.
