- This service is sometimes operated by third party companies. (Normally our vehicles are branded with the Tropical Tours Shuttles logo).
- Bus stops are provided along the way on specific locations.
- Our door to door minibus shuttle service will take you safe and directly from your hotel, hostel or rental house in San Jose city to Montezuma beach, Costa Rica.
- Remember that surfboards are allowed at no extra charge in our minibuses.
- We set a departing time for each destination, however the minibus has to go through the town picking everyone up and that takes a few extra minutes.
- Costa Rica is a beautiful country, but the infrastructure is uncertain and our geography doesn’t help either, that’s why in some sections of the route you will have to go through bumpy and dusty roads on your way to Montezuma.

- Normally this service is provided on a 10 to 15 passenger minibus if you are more than 15 people we can also provide a larger vehicle
- Price for one way is: $240 without ferry transhipment (another bus wait for you) and $340 with ferry transhipment (bus inside de ferry)

- Bus stops are provided along the way in case you need it.
- Our minibuses can carry up to 10 persons, however after 6 persons there is an extra charge of $20 per person.
- Tropical Tours Shuttles will pick you up at any time with the private shuttle service, just make your reservation 24 hours before departure and we will meet you at the established time. Please note that pickups between 9:00pm and 6:00am will have an extra charge of $20 due to the time.

We booked the shuttle twice. First trip was from San José to Montezuma. The driver was on time at our meeting point and the trip was without any problems. The second time we booked the Shuttle was going back from Montezuma to San José Airport. Although our holiday rental house was not easy to find the driver picked us up on time and took us quickly and safely to the airport.
We missed the San José-Montezuma bus and needed to get there ASAP. Tropical Tours Shuttles got us a private shuttle that day. They were very responsive on Whatapp, price was very reasonable, the conversation was good. I had some trouble actually booking the shuttle, but the rep stayed with me on Whatsapp until it went through. We will use them at least two more times on this trip.
I took the shuttle, ferry, then another shuttle from san jose to montezuma. They drivers were very efficient, on time, and the transitions were easy. Would recommend them!
We used the shuttles to go to montezuma from San Jose and come back. The admin staff was very responsive and the drivers were always on time at pick up.
