- Costa Rica is a beautiful country, but the infrastructure is uncertain and our geography doesn’t help either, that’s why in some sections of the route you will have to go through bumpy and dusty roads on your way to La Fortuna Arenal, Costa Rica.

- Bus stops are provided along the way in case you need it.
- Our minibuses can carry up to 10 persons, however after 6 persons there is an extra charge of $20 per person.
- Tropical Tours Shuttles will pick you up at any time with the private shuttle service, just make your reservation 24 hours before departure and we will meet you at the established time. Please note that pickups between 9:00pm and 6:00am will have an extra charge of $20 due to the time.

We had Mario drive my family three times. From Liberia to La Fortuna, La Fortuna to Tamarindo and Tamarindo to Liberia. He was prompt, reliable and pleasant! They provided car seats for our five month old baby and three year old and had wifi on board. The shuttle service was also flexible and understanding when we had to change our reservation last minute due to our flight being delayed.
Our flights arrived to Liberia at night so we decided to book transportation to avoid the hassle of:
1. Getting lost on unmarked roads
2. To avoid further exhaustion after a long flight and
3. Wanted comfortable spacious seating for our 3h ride to La Fortuna
Our experience: Flight arrived a few minutes early and to our surprise the driver was already there waiting for us. It took us a minute to find each other at the airport but that was totally minor. The shuttle van was clean, spacious and comfortable.
We are so glad that we booked with Tropical Tours Shuttle because about 1h in to the drive we found ourselves in heavy rain. We would have never made it without having someone who knew the roads and familiar with the road conditions. After spending a few days in LaFortuna we booked a shuttle to take us to another location 3h away. The shuttle was a the hotel promptly and ready to take us to the next location.
Booking: The process was fairly easy. They ask you visit the website and enter details vs calling so they can map the location, drive and time you need them. Once you submit your online request you will receive a booking confirmation requesting payment. I chose to do this via PayPal so I didnt have to share my credit card information. It was painless and glad that they were willing to help me with an after hours shuttle.
My friend and I booked a shuttle from Liberia Int Airport to La Fortuna and they were fantastic. Punctual, friendly driver and the temperature inside the shuttle was perfect. Would recommend them to anyone that does not rent a car in Costa Rica and will definitely be using them again when I go back.
