Tamarindo to Santa Teresa Shuttle Bus

I highly recommend! I booked Tropical Tours as a private shuttle from Liberia airport to Tamarindo, and from Tamarindo to Santa Teresa - so grateful we did! Professional, reliable, comfortable, friendly and safe drivers for those winding narrow roads!!

Shared shuttle -Tamarindo to Santa Teresa

This was only company who seemed to offer this route . We booked this through Blue Jay experiences ( end of Tamarindo on left handside also Tourist information) Gabriel was very helpful. It was cash only . Having seen some reviews,was a little concerned especially as we were picked up in Villarreal, en route . We were at pick up point in good time but bus was 35 minutes late ( and no communication but then driver is busy sorting bags and pickups ) We were VERY relieved to see bus and afterwards a good service. The driver worked hard sorting bags at drop offs . The shuttle was pretty full. Tip - make sure you take the correct luggage !!! I would rate this 3 1/2 if I could !

Tamarindo to Santa Teresa

Clean, comfortable ride from Tamarindo to Santa Teresa. The bus arrived to my hotel on time but then stopped halfway for 20 minutes so passengers could change buses to different towns. Driver only spoke Spanish so some people missed their connection, or forgot to move their luggage. Samara and Montezuma are different buses so you have to find your luggage and switch or you’ll end up in Santa Teresa. Also, the driver was on his phone WHILE DRIVING the whole trip...which is illegal in my country because it’s dangerous. Get your drivers hands-free listening devices!! Paid $60US ($78 cdn) from Tamarindo to Santa Teresa.

I used the shuttle twice : from Tamarindo to santé teresa then Santa teresa to San Jose, on time, efficient, good driver it’s the best service around. Keep doing it !!!

Great shuttle service

I took tropical tour shuttles from Tamarindo to Santa Teresa and had no problems. They arrived at my hotel to pick me up on time and dropped me off at my hotel in Santa Teresa without any problems. We changed busses once which went smoothly. The drivers were also very friendly.

Very good service

I took the shuttle form Tamarindo to Santa Teresa and then back a week later. Both time the shuttle came on time and the chauffeur drove very well. The shuttles this company uses are extremely comfortable and have wide seats. The AC has tenedency to be a bit too cold but since all of us passengers felt too cold we could ask for adjustment as well for the music being too loud. the chauffeur was very accomodating and we all enjoyed a nice ride. The internet worked when the signals could reach and it is very pleasant to be able to use it during the journey. I recommend this company. they are very well organised.

Reliable Service

I had two trips with Tropical Tours traveling from Tamarindo to Santa Teresa and back. The vehicles were comfortable, well as comfortable as a van can be. The A/C worked on both vehicles which made a huge difference. The drivers were professional, helping with bags and on the back end asking people where they would like to be dropped off. I've already two several other travelers to use their service.

Disappointing

We took a “direct” shuttle from tamarindo to Sabra teresa that was supposed to last 4 hours. We arrived in Santa Teresa after more than 6 hours! It was not direct, the bus stopped multiple times to change people to other busses. The driver was texting 80% of the time and it seemed like he had no expierence switching gears, driving 80kph in 3??? I ended up being very nauseous from the trip and I was not the only passenger.Maybe we just had bad luck with the driver. For 50usd I’m Central America I expected a little more.

Comfortable shuttle ride from Tamarindo to Santa Teresa

Taken on Feb 1/18. Tropical shuttles picked us up on time with a larger vehicle than we expected- a 24 seater. It was very comfortable and kept us nice & cool. The driver was fantastic and drove very responsibly over the winding hilly area. A very, very pleasant ride!

Dependable shuttle service, door-to-door

Used Tropical Tours to go from Tamarindo to Santa Teresa. Departed and arrived on time. They stopped along the way for food and a bathroom break. It is door-to-door service.
