- Surfboards on shared shuttles are $15 each for boards under 6 feet and $20 each for boards 6 feet or larger.
- We set a departing time for each destination, however the minibus has to go through town picking everyone up and that takes a few extra minutes.
- Costa Rica is a beautiful country, but the infrastructure is uncertain and our geography does not help either, so some sections of the route may include bumpy and dusty roads on your way to La Fortuna Arenal.

They transported us from airport to Arenal. Our driver was kind and accommodating. He waited for us for the bathrooms and even stopped for dinner (however we did not like his choice for dinner for us - it was not great - El Rancho something) but they feed the drivers there if they bring tourists. Our ride was bumpy and nauseating after traveling since 4am but he was so sweet and stopped for me to take breaks. When we couldn’t open the garage to our Airbnb, he called the owner and figured it out for us. Overall great service

Let Tropical Tours do the driving!
We decided to remove some stress from our travel and booked Tropical Tours for a private,door to door, from the airport to our hotel in La Fortuna and back. The drivers arrived early on both trips, were very knowledgable about the area, and were very friendly. Highly reccommend their service!

Friendly, on time, excellent service
We used tropical tours for our transfer from San Jose to La Fortuna (3 hours) and again from Monteverde to Tamarindo (3.5 hrs). Both times the drivers were so friendly and the journey was very pleasant, with no problems at all. Couldn’t recommend them anymore

Highly recommend
We used tropical shuttles from San Jose airport to Arenal and then again from Arenal to Tamarindo. The driver was right on time, friendly, helped accommodate our large group and suitcases. The shuttle had WiFi which was helpful for such a long drive. On the longer drive the driver stopped for food and was wiling to stop for bathroom breaks. Would definitely use again!
