Tropical Tours Shuttles: from San Jose Airport to Nosara we offer daily shared shuttle bus services and private minibus transportation. Price ranges to Nosara starting at: $97 per person on shared shuttles departing at 08:00am. $297 per trip for a private minibus. It’s a 5 1/2 hour ride from San Jose Airport SJO Terminal in Costa Rica to to Nosara in Guanacaste, Costa Rica.

Our door to door minibus shuttle service will take you safe and directly from Juan Santa Maria International Airport SJO and San Jose city to your hotel, hostel or rental house in Nosara.

Shared Shuttle from San Jose Airport to Nosara details:

  • Bus departure time from San Jose Airport: 08:00am
  • Departure place: at Juan Santa Maria International Airport
  • Bus arrival time at Nosara area: 01:30pm
  • Trip estimate duration: 5 1/2 hours
  • Shuttle service frequency: daily service
  • Normally this service is provided on a 10 to 15 passenger minibus
  • Price per person: $97

  • This service is sometimes operated by third party companies. (Normally our vehicles are branded with the Tropical Tours Shuttles logo).
  • Bus stops are provided along the way on specific locations.
  • Our door to door minibus shuttle service will take you safe and directly from San Jose International Airport Airport SJO to Nosara, Costa Rica.
  • Remember that 6 foot surfboards ar allowed (not larger than that) with an extra fee of $15.
  • We set a departing time for each destination, however the minibus has to go through the town picking everyone up and that takes a few extra minutes.
  • Costa Rica is a beautiful country, but the infrastructure is uncertain and our geography doesn’t help either, that’s why in some sections of the route you will have to go through bumpy and dusty roads on your way to Nosara.

  • Departure place: our minibus will wait for you right outside the terminal (normally at Malinche Restaurant)
  • Trip estimate duration: 5 1/2 hours
  • Shuttle service includes your private driver
  • Normally this service is provided on a 10 to 15 passenger minibus if you are more than 15 people we can also provide a larger vehicle
  • Price for one way is: $297

Additional information:

  • Bus stops are provided along the way in case you need it.
  • Our minibuses can carry up to 10 persons, however after 4 persons there is an extra charge of $20 per person.
  • Tropical Tours Shuttles will pick you up at any time with the private shuttle service, just make your reservation 24 hours before departure and we will meet you at the established time. Please note that pickups between 9:00pm and 6:00am will have an extra charge of $20 due to the time.
