Experience the Best of Costa Rica with Our Santa Teresa Bioluminescence Tour
Join us for an unforgettable adventure departing from Santa Teresa! The journey begins from hotels or villas in Mal País and Santa Teresa, with shuttle pickups starting at 1:00 PM.
Once aboard, we’ll set sail for Tortuga Island, where you can explore its pristine beaches or snorkel in its crystal-clear waters. While snorkeling isn’t the main focus of the tour, it’s a wonderful way to enjoy a sunny afternoon. By late afternoon, the island is quieter, providing a serene and relaxing experience. Around 4:30 PM, indulge in our traditional Costa Rican Gallos (a delicious appetizer of corn tortillas with meat or veggies), tacos, and fresh fruits.
Next, we’ll head to Playa Vivos, nestled inside Tambor Bay, just 20 minutes away. Here, you’ll soak in the breathtaking sunset as it paints the surrounding hills in vibrant colors.
As night falls, the highlight of the tour begins. We’ll guide you to experience the enchanting bioluminescent waters. Whether you choose to swim with a life jacket or marvel at the glowing spectacle from the boat, it’s an awe-inspiring sight you won’t forget. Rest assured, our boats are equipped with safety lights, and the tour stays close to the shore for your safety.
The tour wraps up around 7:00 PM in Pochote near Tambor. From there, we’ll provide a shuttle back to Montezuma (a 40-minute drive) or Santa Teresa (about 60 minutes).
