The Tour starts in the morning from Montezuma, if you’re staying in a nearby town like Cabuya, Malpais or Santa Teresa, don’t worry, we provide Transportation from there also. The boats, with the capacity of 20 people or more, safety equipment, 300 horsepower outboards and well experienced local captains, offers a reliable and secure journey along the coast. During the 50 minute ride, it’s possible to spot species like: Dolphins, jumping manta rays and humpback whales.

Once the boat arrives on the crystal waters of Tortuga Island you will be taken for a snorkeling session around the tectonic rocks near the island. The staff on board will provide the necessary equipment and safety instructions. This waters are also home of species like: King Angelfish, Porcupine fish, Morays, Needlefish, Spotted Eagle Rays so bring your waterproof camera to keep those great memories.
After the hour of snorkelling is time for a lunch and a cold beer at the beach. Fresh fish or chicken on tomato sauce with broiled potatoes are part of the menu, and if you are vegetarian you might be surprised of what we have for you. After such a great meal, you can either stay at the beach and play volleyball, or you can go on a second snorkelling trip. Kayaks and banana boat trips are also available for rent at the island. On the way back to Montezuma the amazing sunset at the mountains and the quiet ride will help you digest this great experience.

Transportation details:
Transportation is included from any hotel in Montezuma and is optional from Mal Pais or Santa Teresa and Tambor. That’s why our departing times and prices are diferent. From Montezuma we leave at 09:15, from Santa Teresa at 08:00 and from Tambor at 08:30. Remember that including transportation from Santa Teresa or Tambor has an extra charge, but if you pay for it, round trip is included, view our prices for more details. If you have your own vehicule to get to Montezuma you pay only for the tour and not for the transportation.
