Liberia Airport to Mal Pais Shuttle Bus

I took the shuttle to malpais from Liberia and back, and Tropical Tours made it very easy. They picked me up and drop me off at my hotels and communicated with me before my trip in a way that was very helpful. They had fantastic drivers who were very familiar with the road conditions and the shuttle on the way down even had Wi-Fi which was a very pleasant surprise and let me coordinate well with my friends I was trying to meet. The places where they stopped for meals on the road were really great places as well… I got some of the best local food at one of them… I give them a 10 out of 10 for value and ease of movement 🙂

Recently took a shared shuttle from the Liberia airport to Mal Pais and a private shuttle from Mal Pais back to Liberia. Both experiences were great. The trip down took about 5 hours and the trip up only took 4. The shuttle’s wifi worked on both trips and pick up was seamless. The driver even agreed to wait an extra 15 minutes for me on the way down (despite it being a group shuttle) as my flight was delayed. Would recommend.

We have used the TT service many many times over the years and this year will be no different. In past years this amazing local to Mal Pais/Santa Teresa business prides itself on going the extra mile for customers. We are living proof that they do. My son and I used the service several times and when the balance of my family arrived from Canada they brought them to Mal Pais from Liberia too. While all were delayed as a result of a late flight and customs the shuttle waited and got them safe and sound to me. One of my sons dropped his passport on the shuttle and the driver turned it in to JC at the office who saw me on the street and told me he had the passport….my son didn’t even know he had dropped it…but we got it back. We then reserved a private shuttle with several other European travellers from Mal Pais to Liberia…an amazing ride….if you have enough people the private service is Exceptional. My son and I carried on to the Nica border and returned on the border shuttle service to Mal Pais….driver found us and made sure we were on the bus with the other border run people. There is so much more to say but not enough time for all to read….just know that if you are looking for comfort, timely, safe interesting, wifi enabled passage in and around Costa Rica….there is no better service than Tropical Tours. We love these folks….pura vida TT team!
